TC4 titanium alloy, as an alpha+beta type titanium alloy, has high strength and low density. However, during processing, it has low thermal conductivity, low elastic modulus, and high chemical activity at high temperatures, resulting in rapid tool wear, easy deformation of workpieces, and easy adhesion of chips. Turning machining:
YG8 cutting tools are used for rough turning, with a speed of 159-238r/min, a feed rate of 0.2-0.5mm/r, and a back cutting amount of 3-5mm. YG3 is selected for fine turning, with a speed of 60-100m/min, a feed rate of 0.05-0.2mm/r, a back cutting amount of 0.1-0.5mm, and a surface roughness of Ra0.8 μ m!

Milling processing:
For conventional milling, feed the milling cutter with a diameter of 25R3 at a speed of 50-80m/min, with a feed rate of 0.05-0.15mm/z per tooth. When milling with high feed rate, the speed is reduced to 30m/min, and the feed rate per tooth is increased to 0.2mm/z, resulting in a 40% increase in efficiency!

Hole machining and thread machining:
Select an internally cooled drill bit for drilling, with a speed of 15-25m/min and a feed rate of 0.05-0.15mm/r. When threading, the diameter of the bottom hole should be enlarged, and the cutting speed should be 3-5m/min, greatly improving the service life of the tap!

Tools and coolant:
YG8 is used for rough machining, YG3 or YG6X is used for precision machining, and (Ti, Al) N coated cutting tools are selected for high-speed milling. Choose the right coolant to reduce cutting temperature and suppress work hardening!
